Influence of Nose Landing Gear Torsional Damping on the Stability of Aircraft Taxiing Direction

چکیده

The design of the nose landing gear (NLG) torsional damping is very important to avoid taxiing vibration aircraft. On one hand, increasing can suppress wheel shimmy. other if value too large, it will cause unstable aircraft direction, and latter often be ignored, which bring potential risks safety In this paper, by establishing a multibody dynamics model (MBD) taxiing, including NLG, main (MLG), airframe, related force elements kinematic pairs, effect NLG on directional stability studied, key parameters in an direction are obtained. order propose specification for anti-shimmy system, critical stable calculated. It found that shimmy occur simultaneously, but frequencies different. Therefore, addition design, influence aircraft’s must also considered engineering application.
